• Don’t use your kids to get to your spouse,
  • Don’t ask your kids to choose one parent over the other one.
  • Accept that it takes 2 to have your relationship end.
  • Don’t give the decision making role to your kids, you’re the parent, that’s your job to take on that burden, not theirs.
  • Refrain from arguing when your children can hear you.
  • Listen to your kids, but don’t put forth your own issues and say it’s your kids having this issue.
  • Be careful what you say, some things can’t be taken back so easily.
  • Just because your spouse parents differently, doesn’t mean that a shared parenting plan won’t work.
  • Don’t use your kids to stop your kids from seeing the opposing parent.
  • Be forthcoming with ALL OF YOUR FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE.
